You will see the best views of the Oslo fjord from Frognerseteren and from the top of Vettakollen mountain. Unforgettable memories guaranteed!

Our trip starts outside Oslo Visitor Centre at Jernbanetorget. We will take the metro line Frognerseteren to Frognerseteren station. This is a great train ride, so enjoy the views!

The panoramic view from Frognerseteren is magnificent. We will slowly hike down towards King Olav’s trail and over the picturesque Fuglemyrene before reaching the top of Vettakollen mountain. On this tour you will find not only panoramic views, but also will explore the Norwegian forest: listen to birds singing and breath the scent of pines.

Vettakollen peak provides the best view to the city. The view from here is absolutely unbelievable! The summit offers a panorama of large parts of Oslo, the Oslo fjord, its coastline and many small islands. After enjoying this breathtaking Vettakollen view, we will stroll down to the metro station and finish our trip at Jernbanetorget, where we started.

Don't forget to bring your camera and the good mood!

Review

We had a wonderful hike just on the outskirts of Oslo, with a great tour guide, Siv. The hike brought us through the woods with occasional openings to beautiful views of Oslo and it’s two fjords. Siv was a great guide full of interesting info about her city and country. Would highly recommend this hike for anyone who likes to see Oslo from a different perspective.
