OSLO: View of the Oslofjord hike
You will see the best views of the Oslo fjord from Frognerseteren and from the top of Vettakollen mountain. Unforgettable memories guaranteed!
Our trip starts outside Oslo Visitor Centre at Jernbanetorget. We will take the metro line Frognerseteren to Frognerseteren station. This is a great train ride, so enjoy the views!
The panoramic view from Frognerseteren is magnificent! We will slowly hike down towards King Olav’s trail through the glorious green forest, along mysterious small lakes where people thought the magic creature Huldra lived. After we wander over the picturesque Fuglemyrene we will reach DNT Fuglemyrhytta - a small cabin in the woods with a nice view. From there we will continue our walk through the forest to the most spectacular spot with overwhelming views over the city and Oslofjord - the top of Vettakollen mountain.
On this tour you will find not only panoramic views, but also will explore the Norwegian forest: listen to birds singing and breath the scent of pines.
Vettakollen peak provides the best view to the city. The view from here is absolutely unbelievable! The summit offers a panorama of large parts of Oslo, the Oslo fjord, its coastline and many small islands. After enjoying this breathtaking Vettakollen view, we will stroll down to the metro station and finish our trip at Jernbanetorget, where we started.

This was one of my final events in the Nordic after travelling all the way from India, and I enjoyed every second of it. Wonderful trek, very personalised experience, not just with beautiful Norway views but some of the most fun and genuine connections I experienced. Highly recommend! Our guide had the patience to guide us with lovely tips for our stay.
