BERGEN: Fjellveien - Easy Walk with a Great View

The trip starts outside Bergen Tourist office at Strandkaien. We will then take a local bus to Munkbotn, and immediately start our easy walk. It is a little steep in the beginning but after 100 meters we will reach the idyllic dirt road Fjellveien. This is a lovely little road that winds between beautiful trees, small stream falls, and with a view over Bergen harbour and the fjord that is absolutely fantastic. It is very rare that tourists notice this little gem. At the start of the tour, we pass the idyllic Sandviken, which is a district consisting of charming white small wooden houses. As we move further south, the forest and nature become wilder. We come to the train tracks to the "Fløybanen" and move down all the charming stairs towards the centre. Many narrow streets and lovely wooden houses are located in this area.

Our hike ends at the same place where we started, outside Bergen Tourist office.

‍What we recommend for our guided walks at Fjellveien

• It is recommended that participants bring a bottle of water and wear comfortable clothing and hiking shoes, sneakers or similar.
• We recommend using sunblock and protection against mosquitos.
