We are a team of dedicated guides with one big passion in common - being in the nature. And of course, meeting you, our guests! That is why we are super eager to deliver the best possible outdoor experience for you.

Because of that we are constantly learning, spending time outdoors, exchanging feedbacks and ideas and regularly checking the hiking conditions in the areas we take you to.

Before starting working as a tour guide for Oslo Hiking our team members have to go through First Aid course and take a Tour guiding course led by local experts. We are prepared to all possible situations and know the forest trails as the back of our own hands.

We talked to Linn and Miles, our guides, and asked them to tell about their experience and favorite places for hiking. You can meet Miles and Linn on our tours quite often, both on short and longer trips.

LINN

Tour Guide

Born and raised in Oslo, most of all she loves to run outdoors and show travellers all the nice and beautiful places Oslo has to offer.

What is your favorite tour with Oslo Hiking?

Linn: Tour to the Great Lake is definitely my favorite!
After a nice panoramic ride in a train you walk through a beautiful, fairytale-like forest before reaching the highlight of the trip, a Barlindåsen mountain with a fantastic view.
I am equally fascinated and captivated by the place and the view every time I am here. I really appreciate being able to lead trips to Great Lake, and being able to show tourists our beautiful nature and views to the Maridalen lake.

What I like most about being a tour guide is getting to meet people from all over the world. I really like being able to show the places that i'm very fond of, and show others that it's ok to be outside and go for a walk to enjoy the nature in Norway all year round.

MILES

Tour Guide

Miles is originally from the USA where he fall in love with nature at an early age. He was guiding tours in the USA, including five years with National Geographic in Alaska.

What is your favorite tour with Oslo Hiking?

Miles: One of my favorite tours I lead with Oslo Hiking is our Wildlife Forest hike. This is one of our longer day hikes, and for me, the longer I'm out in the forest the better! It's a wonderful hike that really gives our guests a full experience of what the forests around Oslo have to offer. From mountain tops, untouched forests, streams and lakes, this tour has it all! Oh, and we even make a stop at one of the best lodge/cafe's in the area to give guests the opportunity to try a local homemade snack.
What's not to like!

For me being a tour guide means getting to do what I love! Meeting new people, sharing my passion for these beautiful places around our capital city and hopefully facilliating and experience our guests will never forget.
