Explore Oslo on bike! We think an active and green city deserves an active and green way to discover it.

After hiking and biking dozens of countries, the founders of Viking Biking and Oslo Active Tours had a vision of a more dynamic way to visit Oslo, one of the most active cities in the world.

You can join one of the following tours or find more on the official page:

BIKE TOUR: OSLO OFF THE BEATEN PATH

Discover an alternative Oslo, full of street art, hip cafés, surprising waterfalls, great food and award winning coffee. During this approximately 3-hour bike tour, we will ride the path along the Akerselva River, with a stop at the heart of Oslo’s food scene, the indoor market “Mathallen” (closed on Mondays). Be amazed by rushing waterfalls in the middle of the city, just blocks from the trendy Grünerløkka neighborhood. And an absolute must is a stop at the modern Opera and the exciting urban development around it, including a stop at Oslo's newest urban beach.

BIKE TOUR: OSLO HIGHLIGHTS

Our most popular tour, departing daily at 14:00 (2pm). Discover all of the major sites in about 3 hours in a fun and relaxed manner as we bike car-free paths, parks, quiet back streets, and along the fjord. There is plenty of time for stops and pictures. The guides will not only reveal the history behind the monuments and buildings, but cover topics relating to Norwegian culture and politics as well as modern life in Oslo.

NATURE WALKS: ISLAND HOPPING IN THE OSLO FJORD

Discover the majestic Oslo fjord and its various islands like a local, hopping on and off ferries to hike the forests, sea cliffs, charming villages and historic sites of three islands (sometimes two, sometimes four depending on the season and ferry schedule). With a Viking Hiking guide, explore the fascinating ruins of a nearly 1000 year old abbey, picnic on a hidden beach and walk the flower-covered paths of a summer village full of brightly painted, traditional wooden cabins. Don't forget a swim suit and towel as there is time for a swim in the surprisingly warm waters of the Oslo fjord! We also stop for a picnic lunch, which you can bring with you or purchase on the way.
